Film Lifetimer

The moments that make viewers ask "what app is that?", most viral first. Pick one per video, show it in the first 15 seconds, and let the number do the talking.

  1. Save: the total counts up

The "I need this" moment. Finish a set and the lifetime total climbs, with a check and a soft chime.

How to film it: Finish a set, a practice session, or a study block, tap Save to Lifetime, and hold on the total.

  2. Showcase: every Lifetime, full screen

A big number is the hook: "38,240 push-ups since January" or "1,204 hours of piano."

How to film it: Tap the sparkle on the main page, then swipe up through your Lifetimes. The buttons fade away on their own.

  3. The year grid

A year of colored tiles is proof of discipline at a glance, no explanation needed.

How to film it: Open a Lifetime and scroll its grid slowly: "every day I practiced this year."

  4. The 10,000-hour forecast

Comment bait. Viewers ask when they would get there, and you answer with your next video.

How to film it: Show the "At this pace" line on a Time Lifetime, then reply to comments with your own forecast.

  5. Milestones and share cards

A payoff: confetti at 1,000 reps or 100 hours, then a card made for your story.

How to film it: Film the session that crosses a round number, and share the card that pops up.

  6. Live counting

Real time on screen: the stopwatch running through a study session, or +1 on every rep.

How to film it: Prop the phone up in frame and let the stopwatch or counter run while you work.

  7. Streaks and clean days

Familiar pride and tension: a long flame, or days clean that only go up.

How to film it: Check today off on the main page and let the streak badge tick over.

  8. Home-screen widgets

Aesthetic home-screen tours are a format of their own, and the year grid fits right in.

How to film it: Add the year-grid widget (Android, with Pro) and include it in a home-screen tour.

Make it yours

Your history doesn't start today. Open any Lifetime's calendar and tap a past day to add what you've already done, so your total is big from your very first video.

Track anything. A Lifetime can be a skill, a habit, or a running joke: "Times I said one more episode", "Days the cat let me sleep in", or "Hours spent thinking about the Roman Empire." Nobody audits a meme, so give yours a glorious backstory and let the total speak for itself.

Filming tips

  • Get the app on screen within the first 15 seconds.
  • Make it work without sound: big numbers and on-screen text carry it.
  • After you tap Save, hold on the total for a beat while it counts up.
  • Prop the phone up in frame for live counting, rather than holding it.
  • When someone asks what app it is, reply "Lifetimer on the App Store" and pin it.
  • If you're paid for the video, turn on the platform's paid-partnership label and add #ad to the caption.

Ideas to steal

  • "POV: day in the life of a college athlete." Start a stopwatch at a 6 a.m. sprint session, tap Save later, and watch the total jump to 212 hours.
  • "Day 1 vs day 100 of learning piano." Cut between clumsy and confident playing, and end on the Showcase.
  • "I've done 38,240 push-ups since January." Open on the Showcase number, then one set with the counter, Save, and the total ticking up.
  • "Replying to @you: when will I hit 10,000 hours?" Read your forecast out loud, then cut to a practice clip.
  • "Every day I practiced this year." Scroll the year grid slowly and land on the total.
  • "My lock-in routine." A morning checklist: each habit checked off with one tap, ending on the streaks.
